VIDUEŇO DE SANTIAGO DEL TEIDE 2020, ENVÍNATE
ORIGIN: Santiago del Teide, Tenerife, Canary Islands
VARIETY/BLEND: 55% Listán Prieto, 45% Listán Blanco
ALTITUDE: 1000-1200m a.s.l.
FERMENTATION: Fermented together in a 1000L open-top vat, where they macerated on the skins for 12 days. After alcoholic fermentation, the wine was racked to neutral French oak barrels where it completed spontaneous malolactic fermentation.
AGEING: In the same vessels for 8 months without racking.
Envínate is the brainchild of 4 friends, winemakers Roberto Santana, Alfonso Torrente, Laura Ramos, and José Martínez. This gang of 4 formed back in 2005 while studying enology. Upon graduation, they formed a winemaking consultancy, which evolved into Envínate, a project that focuses on exploring distinctive parcels mainly in the Atlantic-inflected regions of Ribeira Sacra and the Canary Islands. Their collective aim is to make profoundly pure and authentic wines
