PHINCAS THOUSAND MILKS , BODEGAS BHILAR
APPELLATION: D.O.Ca. Rioja (sub-region: Rioja Alavesa)
VARIETY/BLEND: 80% Viura, 10% Garnacha Blanca, 10% Malvasía
FERMENTATION: The grapes were hand destemmed and foot trodden to start the fermentation naturally with indigenous yeast. After fermentation was finished the wine was pressed and placed in 225-liter French barriques.
Spiced warm pears, ripe apple, melon and cinnamon on the nose. The wine has a rich, dense mouthfeel and lots of juicy acidity. A broad palate with green apple, pear, peach and white pepper developing into the phenol notes of bitter orange, lime and guava. The finish long and dry.
